April, 2004 <br />3.0 HYDROLOGIC ANALYSIS <br />The design flowrate (Q) was determined by analyzing U.S. Geological Survey data <br />06730500 for Boulder Creek at the mouth, near Longmont, CO. A graph of this data is <br />provided in the appendix to this memorandum. The graph shows the annual peak <br />streamflow (cfs) for the years 1927 through 2003. Data was missing for roughly a 20- <br />year span between 1958 and 1978. <br />The outlying data points were thrown out leaving data that provides an average annual <br />peak streamflow of approximately 500 cfs.
