QUARTERLY SEDIMENTATION POND INSPECTION REPORT <br />CDMR Rule 4.05.6(13) <br />Mine: Southfield <br />Pond Identification: Pond # 1 <br />Inspection Period: 3-qtr 2000 <br />Inspection Date: September 1, 2000 <br />General Description or Reference to Site Plan: <br />This pond is located east of the plant facilities area. It is an incised pond with nearly vertical sides. <br />The water level in the pond was at the invert of the pond decant gate. The pond was not discharging. <br />EMBANKMENT <br />1). Adequacy of the vegetative cover: <br />2). Erosion forming Gullies: <br />3). Is wave action causing erosion <br />Excellent Moderate Few Poor <br />Extensive Some Few None <br />On the Upstream embankment? Yes No X <br />At the principal spillway inlet? Yes No X <br />4).
