EXHIBIT C - Mining Plan
1 . Mining will commence as soon as permit is granted, and
will end on August 1 , 2011 .
2. The depth of the soil that will be used in the reclamation
process will be the twelve inches as recommended by the
Soil Conservation Service letter.
Stock piles of top soil will be placed west of the mining
pit. ( See map) This will prevent run-off from the higher
ground west of the mining pit.
3. The thickness of the overburnden lays from twenty-four to
sixty inches of top soil. Top soil will be removed and
placed west of pit. Balance of clay will be stock piled
north of the pit. This material will be sold or put back
into the pit at a later date before applying the top soil.
(See map)
4 . The test holes indicate that the gravel deposite ranges from
fifteen to forty feet deep.
5. The major components of the mining operation will include
an open mining pit and a portable rock crusher. The access
road for the property is located in the center of the
proposed mining site. (See map)
6. Current disturbance including pit, top soil, overburden, and
gravel pile is an area three hundred and thirty foot east and
west, and two hundred and thirty foot north and south.
7 . Only the existing ranch access road will be used for the
mining operation. This road is twenty to twenty-five feet
wide, four/tenths of a mile long, located north of County
road twenty-three. No improvements to the road are needed or
planned for in the near future.
S. No water will be used in the mining operation.
9. A test hole was drilled to the depth of one hundred and fifty
feet and no water was found. Surface water is contained
in a stock pond up hill from the pit. Since no ground water
or surface water will be intercepted, no dewatering, sediment-
containment or chemical treatment systems are deemed necessary.
10. We foresee no injury to existing water rights do to the fact
that there is no water in the area.
page 1 of EXHIBIT C
