Dulling will commence with a 5-518" or 5-3/4" diameter pilot hole through the coat to
approximately twenty feet below the coal seam. Immediately after the holes are dulled,
a benton~te slurry (drilling mud. 50 second Marsh funnel viscosity) will be pumped into
the hole for purposes of condit~ornng and stabilizing the hole The rog will then move off
the hole, Each hole will then be logged with geophysical tools (natural gamma ray.
gamma-gamma density, resishvdy, and cafiper) Soon after the dulling has been
completed about one out of every five holes will be "twinned" and core drilled through
the coal
No topsoil leveling or removal will be necessary al drilling locations or for drilling ng
access. Access will be by highway or overland travel designed to minimize surface
disturbance,
All drill holes will be plugged and sealed immediately after completion of drilling and
logging. Cuttings from drilling will be placed in drill holes. Excess cuttings will be
disposed of or removed All drilling saes will be Cleared of any trash or debns and left in
neat and orderly fashion.
ITEM 5.6.1: None
ITEM 5.8.2: None
ITEM 5.8.3: Indian nce grass 9.29#
Galleta 20 00#
Sand Drop Seed 1 29#
Gamma 3 30#
Or as stipulated by the surface land owner
ITEM 5.6.4: See Attached Table 1
ITEM 5.B.5: Aqurfers are not expected to be encountered during this dnlGng program
due to the shallow nature of the drill holes and the fact that the coat strata at Third Park
is anticipated to be relatively dry because of the deeply inased streams around the
perimeter of Third Park and unlike the New Horizon Mine area, Third Park is not
irrigated
ITEM S.B.6: The proposed coal exploration holes are relatively shallow and will vary
from about S1 feet deep to about 155 feet deep which includes the 20 feet or so that
each plot hole will be dulled to below the mineable coal bed The average total depth is
about 70 `eet Upon reaching total depth of each of the holes drilling mud consisting of
bentonite get will be mixed to a Marsh funnel wscosdy of 50 seconds.
