ATTACHMENT ITEM 3.0 -WFC is in the process of obtaining land owner's consent giving WFC the rights to enter and explore the drill holes shown in Table 1 WFC will submit the Consent documents to DMG once they are received ITEM 4.0: Third Park is set in a region of diverse terrain The region rs confined by three deeply incised streams. Tabeguache Creek along the northern border, the San Miguel River extending along the western border. and Coal Draw which drains the southern portion of Thud Park Both Tabeguache Creek and Coal Draw are tributary to the San Miguel River Within this incised perimeter is a terrain dominated by a plateau of high elevation (5500-6000 feet) that encompasses Box Canyon, Thrs canyon extends across the entire area, but it is incised more deeply on its southern extent along the perimeter of Third Park, To the northeast the southwestern flank of the Uncompaghre Plateau rises and toward all other directions the terrain is similar to Ihat of Third Park. According to the BLM. the main land uses for Third Park include cattle grazing, unldlife habitat and recreation Soil composition and type are not well known in the area, but it can be reasonably assumed that it would be similar in compostion to that of the underlying and surrounding geologic formations. The Dakota. Morrison. Wasatch and the Chinle Formations have all been eroded and weathered over time The San Miguel, Coal Draw and other streams subsequently have transported their sediment into the Thud Park area and these sediments have the composition of the modern quaternary soils Collectively, these lithologic bodies would contribute a Irght-colored, sand dominated composition including some fine. variegated silt and clay and possibly some coal fragments The dominant species at the Third Park average elevation (5500-6000 feet) is the sagebrush-grassland complex (Bureau of Land Management 1984) The Drvrsion of Wddfife (OOW) supports this in illustrating only the Big Sagebrush Shrubland type and Pinyon Jumper in Third Park on their land cover map (Thompson. et AI 1996) ITEM SA: The thirty-eight exploration drill holes will be drilled wdh a truck mounted drilling rig (comparable m size to a Gardner Denver 1000 or 1500). All drilling will be done wdh au/mrstlfoam and the rig will have a mud pump to facilitate mixing and pumping mud for hole plugging and abandonment Cuttings will be used in plugging the holes and will be collected and described (Iithology) for fwe-foot intervals
