This temporary channel will be in place while
Phase IVb is being constructed and will ultimately be replaced by the permanent
diversion channel upon construction of Phase IVc of the VLF, as we have discussed on
several site inspections.
The temporary channel is sized for the 25 year 24 hour storm event. Curve numbers
appropriate for the soils and vegetation types within the sub basins are utilized in
accordance with published criteria. HEC-1 computer modeling was completed to size
the temporary channel.
Please contact me at (719) 689-4056 should you have questions.
Sin ,
Phll Barnes
Manager Environmental Resources
Enclosure
Permit #: Confidental?:
Class: Type-Seq.:
To'.
From:
Doc.
