Keffelew, Berhan
To: pbarnesC~3AngIoGOLDNA.COM
Cc: Stevens, Jim
Subject: PHASE IVb/PHASE IV C TEMPORARY DIVERSION CHANNEL SIZING.
Dear Mr.. Barnes:
The Division of Minerals and Geology has reviewed the temporary channel sizing design for phase IVb and Phase IVc,
Valley Heap Leach areas. These channels will be replaced by a permanent diversion channel, for 100 years 24 hours
storm event, upon the construction of the Phase IVc Valley Leach Facility. The temporary diversion channels are
proposed to be designed for the 25 years 24 hours event and appear to be adequate. However, a plunge pool type design
would require frequent maintenance and as usual, CC&V will need to inspect these areas after a measurable precipitation
event. With that in mind, the Division accepts the temporary channel designs submitted on 5-7-02.
If you have questions additional questions, please contact me at 303- 866-4072
Sincerely,
Berhan Keffelew
Reclamation Specialist
