stabilization and reclamation procedures will be followed in the mining <br /> operation of Varra in Section 31, T3N, R67W, Weld County, Colorado, <br /> and Varra hereby agrees to faithfully perform the land stabilization <br /> and reclamation work required herein, to-wit: <br /> 1. Reclamation of the site shall meet the following existing <br /> zoning standards: <br /> A. No excavation shall occur nearer than 20' to any <br /> existing lot line or right-of-way line. In the case of County Road 13, <br /> all excavation shall be set back at least 75' from the center of the <br /> road (section line). <br /> B. Hours of operation shall be unlimited, but normally <br /> will follow a 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. schedule. <br /> C. Slopes left after excavation shall be no steeper <br /> than a 2' horizontal distance of each 1' of vertical rise (2:1 slope). <br /> 2. Upon completion of excavation of each lake, reclamation <br /> and reuse of site will occur as follows: <br /> A. Cleanup area, smooth contours and plant trees along <br /> bank approximately 1 tree at 1" caliper for each 100' of shoreline. <br /> B. Anticipate leasing said existing lake area for <br /> hunting and fishing purposes. <br /> 3. A central area between all of the future lakes will be <br /> left unexcavated. This area, 10+ acres, shall be left for eventual <br /> use of a central activity area for the recreation use. It is anticipated <br /> it would be used as a picnic - camping area for the total site. The <br /> area would not be used for recreation until it is no longer needed for <br /> storage of excavated material or access. <br /> 4. Wherever possible, operator will stockpile and retain top- <br /> soil on the property covered by this permit for future use on said <br /> property. Initial overburden from the first lake will be used for <br /> on-site road construction. Overburden from the second and subsequent <br /> lakes will be spread around the shoreline of the most recently excavated <br /> lake. <br />
