What criteria were used by the operator to arrive at a replacement <br />depth of 14 inches? llpr~.#r. to-R.~i~sus IY" (w4 ca..wL ~,,,,4,,.I;G.1 ~o-)+5+,;1. <br />V The staff recommends grading all topsoil and overburden stockpiles to <br />slopes not to exceed 3H:1V in addition to planting stockpiles with <br />J western wheatgrass. <br />The operator states that the deposit will be mined by creating two <br />benches. Exhibit D-1 does not show these benches. Provide detailed <br />information with respect to: <br />a. bench width <br />b, accessibility routes to upper bench <br />c. backfilling and grading bench to final land slope <br />The staff feels that benches are not appropriate in gravel pits due to <br />problems with stability. <br />What is the geologic nature of the side-slope material upon which 14 <br />inches of overburden will be placed?
