<br /> <br />13. The topsoil, subsoil, and fines shall be separately stockpiled and will be marked with <br />identifier signs. <br />14. The material stockpiles shall be maintained in a safe manner, in accordance with the vertical <br />slope limitations set by Hie Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). The gravel <br />lrighwall will be knocked down at the end of each mining cycle. <br />15. The natural visual buffer shall be left in place after mining and reclamation has been <br />completed. <br />16. The visual buffer zone and mining phase in[emal and external phase boundaries shall be <br />identified on the ground with permanent-type monuments. <br />17. The gravel site perimeter fence shall be steel post, 4-strand bottom smooth wire and 3 barbed <br />wire with a maximum height of 42 inches with wooden post corner and line bracing. Wire <br />spacing in inches, starting from the ground shall be 16, 7, 7, 12. Additional construction and <br />material specifications will be provided by BLM and the fence shall be constructed [o those <br />specifications. Prior to start of construction, specifications and the location of the fence shall be <br />approved by the BLM. The replacement fence at the north BLM property boundary shall be <br />constructed with new material as per provided specifications for [he perimeter fence. The <br />operator may request to salvage usable materials from the perimeter fence for use in constrnction <br />of the replacement fence. The use of salvage materials shall be approved in advance by BLM. <br />For public safety, bright-colored flagging will be woven into [he fence and gate a[ all locations <br />where the fence crosses any type of existing recreational use trail (motorcycle, ATV, 4 wheel <br />drive, etc.). <br />18. All disturbed areas will be seeded with the following mixture. <br />Application rates are for pure, live seed (PLS).
