Exhibit E - Reclamation Plan
Paragraph iii references slopes less steep than the original surface.
What is the slope of the original surface? This has not been
referenced in the mining plan. (Other than as shown on the map.) The
reclamation plan map shows final contours in the quarry areas (east
„ .
and west). How will these be attained in the east pit, in particular ~ - v.
if exploration has not determined how and wehre the phases will occur ~
.- l
and to what depth? What amounts of overburden, etc., will be placed
in each cut to achieve final contours as shown on the map? The Soil
Conservation Service indicates that slopes should be flatter than 3:1.
The reclamation plan references slopes flatter than 2:1. This should
be corrected. Flatter than 2:1 could be 2.1:1 as a matter of extreme.
Final contours for the refuse areas are not shown. (Information
concerning size, height, width, slope, nature of material, etc., should
be presented.) The particulars, as required for the revegetation
portion of the reclamation plan, have not been presented. Exhibit E,
