<br />(g) A haul road will be developed from C.R. M to the active mining area. <br />Haul road may need periodic grading to accommodate heavy truck <br />traffic. <br />(h) There will be no water used in conjunction with the mining operation. <br />(i) The pit will not intercept any groundwater due to slope and water <br />runoff. Ponding of water may occur for a short period after a significant <br />rain. No detrimental effects of quality are anticipated. Prevention of <br />storm water runoff and sedimentation of Ladder Creek. Operator will <br />only mine approximately 1 acre at a time or roughly 200'x 200'. After <br />the IS` acre is mined it will be reclaimed according to Reclamation Plan. <br />Overburden and topsoil will be spread over the affected area and <br />prepped ground will be seeded. In active mining area, pit floor will not <br />daylight to ladder Creek as it will be to deep. Pit will retain overland <br />flow and on-site precipitation from a significant rain event. No diversion <br />structures, sediment traps, etc. <br />(j) Applicable water laws should not be affected. Cheyenne County, as a <br />political subdivision of the State, would always adhere to Colorado <br />Water Laws regarding injury to existing water rights. <br />(k) Any exposed refuse encountered will be disposed of properly in the <br />Cheyenne County Landfill if warranted. Acid of toxic materials would <br />be carefully analyzed and disposed of according to all local, state, and <br />federal rules and regulations. If acid or toxic materials were found, <br />Cheyenne County would initially contact the Division of Minerals and <br />Geology and the local and state health departments for expertise in <br />dealing with a situation such as this. <br />(1) There will be no disturbance to hydrologic balance. Reclamation will be <br />consistent with the future landuse of rangeland. Groundwater is at least <br />150'-200' deep. Excavation will go to approximately 15'. Cheyenne <br />County, as Operator, does not intend to get anywhere near groundwater <br />sources. <br />(m) Sand and gravel deposit may be stockpiled on site for use on county <br />roads. Deposit might be screened. There will be no crushing, asphalt, <br />mulching, leaching, or mixing. <br />
