loaded 50 ton haul trucks. The road is constructed entirely with railroad ballast. The rough and
interlocking nature of the ballast makes it ideal as a road base and surface. The ballast surface
also contributes little to no sediment run-off when faced with a precipitation event. The road cuts
are laid back to greater than 1.5:1. If the area is not reclaimed before this fall, the disturbed, non-
surfaced areas will be seeded to help stabilize them until they are reclaimed.
Based on these observations, calculations and inspections the Temporary Truck Dump and Lay-
down area, I can certify that the Sediment Basin and Haul Road are in reasonable compliance with
the applicable sections of the CMLRB regulations and the approved permit documents,
(M.R.101),
Best Regards,
_ : William ~ i,epro, P.E.
=, ;- :Colo:Registered Professional Engineer
~':. •`;30363.
