<br />EXHIBIT "C" <br />MINING PLAN <br />(a) Mining Dates. <br />Mining is projected to start in the Spring of 1999, upon permit approval, and continue until at least <br />the Fall of 2020. This will be a compazatively low volume operation for the applicant with the <br />product material being used on his own development projects in the area, as well as to customers <br />needing road material for their own property. <br />Notice is hereby given that this pit may be operated less than 6 months per yeaz if business demand <br />or weather so dictate. The applicant requests that this not be considered as temporary cessation. <br />(b) Topsoil -soil suitable as a plant growth medium. <br />It appeazs that topsoil ranges from a minimum of 3" to 8", except for azeas of gneiss or granite rock <br />outcrops on hills and ridges. Topsoil will be segregated and stockpiled on the pit perimeters for use ~ <br />in reclamation. If stockpiles remain in place for more than one growing season, they will be seeded ~' <br />with an SCS recommended seed mix for cover. Generally this is 7#/A pls of Western Wheatgrass. <br />(c) Thickness of overburden or quantity of waste rock. <br />It is anticipated that the overburden will be limited, if any. It will be stockpiled sepazately from <br />topsoil and will be used in reclamation or possibly sold as fill material. <br />(d) Thickness of deposit to be mined. <br />Present projections aze from 10' on the east perimeter, to 50' at the thickest point. <br />(e) Major components of the mining operation: <br />1. Access is directly north off of Tallahassee Road to the east side of the affected azea. <br />2. This pit will encompass a maximum of 9.90 acres. Z <br />3. No office, shop or maintenance buildings are present on site. ~`'~ ~~ -~ <br />4. Since this will be an open-pit operation, there will be no underground openings such as adits or <br />ventilation facilities connected with the operation. <br />
