;, -

i r
ok 18. Intermittent flows in the mining areas will be channeled through the permit area as they are cturently.
These Flows aze channeled to the south along the edge of the rock outcrops that extend many miles to
the south.
~~~ There are no concrete lined ditches in or near the permit area. There is an old diversion ditch that is
rubber-lined that runs from the "original" diversion of Trout Creek that runs to the west, and ties into
an existing imgation ditch to the west of the permit area. This ditch carried any seasonal flows into
the irrigation ditch for dissipation across the nearby fields. Neither of these ditches are in use anymore
due to the newly installed irrigation pipeline that supplies a newly constructed center pivot irrigation
sprinkler. This ditch will be abandoned and the diversion removed so that any seasonal flows of Trout
"/ Creek will follow the "original" diversion mentioned th Item I5.
Gt X20. Please see the attached Geotechnical Stability Malysis prepared by R. J. Dish dated June 30, 2001. In
this analysis, Mr. Irish has recommended different slopes from those that we submitted. We proposed
vertical back slopes for convenience. However, Mr. trish has concluded that each bench should be
drilled and shot to obtain a'/. to I face. We fully intend to follow the recommendations provided in
the analysis provided by Mr. Uish.
~21. Please refer to the analysis provided by Mr. Gordon Grevey, contained in the attached "Trout Creek
Quarry -Blasting Information". We have also attached 3 separate reports that contain information
that may be useful for your review. They are as follows: Hydrology Report for Trout Creek Dam,
Engineering Geologic Site Characterization Study -Trout Creek Dam and Reservoir Area, and
Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis -Trout Creek Dam Project. We have also included the
Emergency Preparedness Plan for Trout Creek Darn for additional Reference. The intent of including
these reports is not to "flood" you with paper, but rather to provide you with all the available data
concerning the RCC dam.
We feel confident that we have addressed all of your concerns regarding this permit application. Please do
not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions of comments.
Sincerely,
Krocesky
Project Manager
