N/2 of SW/4 of NW/4 of Section 22, var[ous tracts
by Craig Cannon, Mildred Dcluzio, Prank Zellctti,
Dorothy Tombcrlin, Viva Starr, Don Snodgrass, all
of Durango, Colorado.
SW/4 of Section 15, R. T, Scott, Durango, Colorado.
These are the names of record; some of the tracts arc or may
be owned by others and the change of ownership not yet recorded.
d. Map B is on a scale of 1 inch = 400 feet. Asap A on a scale
of 1 inch = 1000 feet, is primarily for geological and hydrological
sections of this application.
e. There are no creeks, public roads, usable buildings or
dwellings, oil or gas wells, power and communication lines within
. two hundred feet of the portal and surface plant areas. The access
from U. S. Highway 1b0 to the portal and surface plant sit will pans
under an REA utility electric line near the highway.
f. Map A on a scale of 1 Inch = 1000 feet covers all of the coal
properties held by Arness-McGriffin for which this application ap-
plies. Map B shows the area which will be affected by the construc-
tion of mine portals, surface facilities and access roads.
g. Map A and Map B are enlarged parts of USGS topographic
sheets. Contours are at 40 foot intervals. The slope in percent
between contours on Map B is equal to the reciprocal of the distance
between contours in inches times 10. Eg. , . 20 inches between con-
• tours is equivalent to a 50~o slope, .33 inches to a 30~o slope, etc.
-9-
