3. Mechanical Method <br />Special equipment is manufactured specifically for this purpose; <br />however, the job can be accomplished with various tools. A <br />regular farm disc normally does a good job of anchoring mulch <br />into the soil. For best results, the soil should be moist <br />and free of rocks. Set disc straight so that a minimum amount <br />of soil will be disturbed. Depth of cut should be 3 to 4 <br />inches. <br />Page 4 of 4 <br />
