6.3.4 EXHIBIT D -Reclamation Plan <br />3. The Applicant specifies on page 6 of the application that once mining is concluded on the <br />Nielson Pit, the pit will be blasted and re-graded to a 3:1 surface. In conformance with Rule <br />6.3.4, please quantify the volume of materials to be blasted during a maximum disturbance <br />scenario and the unit cost per cubic yard of material to be blasted. Please respond. <br />4. In conformance with Rule 6.3.4, please clarify the total number of acres to be re-vegetated <br />during final reclamation, or during a maximum disturbance scenario. Please respond. <br />5. In conformance with Rule 6.3.4(1)(c), please provide the details of the reclamation seed <br />mixture to be used during final reclamation, ie: species & application rate(s), type of seeding, <br />time of seeding, and any seedbed preparation treatments to be used. Please respond. <br />6. The Applicant specifies that a goal of reclamation is to achieve shrub re-vegetation and <br />restoration of the affected land to the pre-mining land use, ie: wildlife habitat. Please specify the <br />density or number of live stems per acre of woody vegetation expected during final reclamation <br />to achieve this goal. Also, please provide an estimate ofthe density ofshrubs in nearby <br />undisturbed lands. Please respond. <br />Once again, I will look forward to your response on or before may 30, 2007 to allow adequate <br />time for review before the June 6, 2007 decision date. Rule 1.8.1 states that changes and <br />additions to the permit application must be filed with the Division and the County Clerk and <br />Recorder.
