The existing ramps are lcca:ed
approximately half~.ray and threw quarters t;e distance dawn the inclirzd c•ad_.
41ith the current arrangement, a true losing its ability to brake at the .op
of tl~e frill ~.,•ould gain substantial spied and momentum before reaching the first
runavray ra~~p. To avoid any potential problems with runaway trucks, Celo~+yo
proposes to add an additional runaway ramp closer to the top of the hill.
Environment
The area of concern has previously been described in the Color+y~
Permit. The location is sho~.:n on tide enclosed map, t•1zp 22 - Exhisting St:-uc-
tures Central, and is described as situated in the 411/2 of Section 34, T4t,,
R93}I, 6th P.tt.
Desien
The ramp design is sho•.rn in plan view on Figure 1 and in cross section
on Fi?:re 2. The design was chosen to maximize rolling resistance at the road
surface t^rcuc;n t!;e utilization of unconsolidated sand. The location for the
additional ra.~:p was chosen under the follo~.ving criteria:
1. t•:iniTiz=_ a-e= pf disturbance.
• 2. Topsoil in the area of disturbance will be salvaged and stoc!:piled:
2. The runaway rasp and drainzae ditches wll b2 excavated and filled to grade.
3. The runaway ra;,p will be surfaced with sand.
4. Topsoil will be hauled back in and spread.. The topsoil will then
be prepared and reseeded.
P,ecla~.ation Cost for Proposed Pun a•„•ay RaTa bonding
1.
