COVEY.~GE UNDER THIS PE.R?IIT <br />1) Under this general permit, facilities engaged in the mining and <br />processing of sand and gravel (including rock or stone used as <br />aggregate) may be granted authorization to discharge treated process <br />generated waste raters into raters of the state of Colorado rich toe <br />exception of facilities in the Cherry Creek Basin and those tributary <br />to Chatfield Reservoir downstrean o= the USGS gage ac .'aterton and on <br />Plum Creek. For purposes of this permit, process generated waste <br />raters includes: <br />a) wash waters; <br />b) transport waters; <br />c) scrubber waters (crushers or classifier); <br />d) mine dewatering (groundwater and/or runoff); and <br />e) other process water as deterained by the permit issuing 2uthority. <br />2. T.zis permit does not constitute au[aorizatioa under 33 U.S.C. 1341 <br />(Section 404 of the Clean Water ict) of_ny stream dre?giag or fi1'_ing <br />operations. <br />3. In order to be considered eligible for authorization to discharge <br />under Che terms and conditions of this permit, the pane=, operator, <br />and/.or authorized agent of any facility desiring to discharge lust <br />subsit, by certified letter, the discharge application fora, avai1a61e <br />from the Fla ter Quality Control Division, xhich generally requires the <br />following information: <br />a) Name, address, and descriptive 1oc_tion of the facility; <br />b) Name of principal in charge of ooerat_on of the facility; <br />c) Name of water receiving the discharge; <br />d) Description of the type of activity resul[i,g in tie <br />discharge including the antici?aced du-_tion of activity <br />and/or the discharge, ahticioated voluae, and rate of <br />discharge, and the source of water wiich is to be <br />discharged; <br />e) Description of any waste water tre_t_ent system and <br />recycle/reuse utilized; and, <br />E) z map or sc:aeaacic d_agr_n s;:cw_ig the ,e :ers' area _.._,'oc <br />routing of the activity. <br />g) ?nal;~sis o[ Cie ..a ter to be disc ar~~'_. <br />
