•. i <br />Duration of This Permit <br />This general permit Ss Issued Eor a period of approximately S years. The <br />permictee's authority to discharge under this permit is approved until the <br />expiration date of the general permit. <br />Application For Renewal of Authority Under This Permit <br />180 days prior co the expiration of this general permit, the permittee must <br />submit a renewal application for authority to continue the discharge. Prior co <br />the expiration of this permit, each permittee under the permit must submit an <br />application so chat the Division can determine whether the discharge and <br />operations still comply with the terms of the permit, os an individual permit <br />should be written and issued. Regardless of when a permit applicant applied <br />for and received certification under this general permit, he must re-apply for <br />continued authority prior to the permit expiration date. _ <br />Permit Rationale <br />The owner, operator and/or authorized agent for a facility shall submit an <br />application as provided by the Water Quality Control Division. This <br />application will be evaluated utilizing the criteria outlined previously. IE <br />Che general permit is applicable to the applicant's operation, then a rationale <br />will be developed and the applicant will be certified under the general <br />permit. The rationale shall include the name and address of the contact <br />person, a discussion of compliance under the previous permit, IE applicable, <br />the receiving water Eor the discharge, number of discharge points, a <br />determination of the need for salinity monitoring and the expiration date of <br />the general permit certification for the specific Facility. <br />Lf after evaluation of the application, it is found chat the general persic <br />1s not applicable to the operation, then [he application will be processed as <br />` an individual permit. For an individual permit, 180 days will be required to <br />process the application and issue the permit. In this ease discharge cannot <br />cake place until the permit is issued and becomes effective. <br />The general permit itself will contain the effluent limitations and the <br />monitoring requirements for the permitted discharge points.
