Food Value - The relish and degree of use shown by a wildlife <br />species for a plant or plant part, as well as the plant's <br />availability throughout its range in Colorado. <br />L. Forage Palatability - The relish and degree of use shown by livestock <br />for a plant or plant part in Colorado. <br />• <br /> M. Rnerav Va lue - The usable energy a plant provides to livestock or <br /> wildlife during the period from flowering or early seed formation to <br /> the following spring, within a comparable life form (a grass is <br /> compared to other grasses) in Colorado. <br /> 1. High - Retains usable energy value well during fall and winter <br /> (cures well and/or retains leaves, etc.) <br /> 2. Medium - Retains usable energy value moderately well during fall <br /> and winter. <br />3.
