CgLIFORNIP 92802 <br />TELEPHONE ]la BBq~gB11 <br />TW% 0l0 3]2.1231 <br />uwy( <br />~~~ <br />GENERAL ENGINEERING CONTRACTORS <br />Fertilization to be applied at 100-200 lbs. per acre <br />of commercial type 30-10-0 fertilizer. <br />The removal of the material will begin May 31, 1977 with com- <br />pletion of the processing by September 30, 1977, however a portion <br />of the processed material will be stockpiled on the unreclaimed $ <br />acres for use on the project in 1978, The reclamation of the re- <br />maining $ acres will be completed by November i, 1977. <br />(9) The special conditions of the contract require a very high <br />type of backfill material to support the 90" conduit and to <br />prevent deflection during placement and throughout it's life. <br />This type of material is not present on the project and must <br />be obtained elsewhere. <br />The type of material required may be found in the area suggested <br />in the Bureau of Reclamation material brochure, on the Lake County <br />property, <br />(h) Attached bond from The Traveler's Indemnity Co., $$0 California <br />Street, San Francisco, California 9104, <br />(i) Attached letter and lease from Lake County, Colorado. <br />Section 10 <br />(a) Wildlife-We have consulted with Mr. Tom Lytele, the wildlife <br />conservation officer of this area and his observation is that <br />there will be a very small disruption of wildlife caused by <br />the operation of the mineral aggregate source this summer. <br />Mt. Lytele would like to be consulted on any future permits in <br />this area. <br />(b) Water Resources-it is a very dry area with no streams or ir- <br />rigation ditches within the contiguous area's of the mineral <br />source. <br />(c) Vegetation-is of a sparse grass and small clumps of sage brush. <br />The forestry recommends removing the sage brush and topsoil to <br />use as a compost for the seeding reclaimation. <br />(d) Soil-the soil is relatively sterile with a small layer of top- <br />soil (2"-3") beneath which is a free draining well graded <br />aggregate. (See forestry comment in Section 10 Sub (c).) <br />
