This project requires approximately
125,000 cubic yards of high quality mineral aggregate for
bedding and backfill of the 90" conduit. This type of mat-
erial is not available on the project but is available on
property in the SE4 of Section #7 Township 105. Range SOW.
This property is owned by Lake County, Colorado. This mat-
erial is located on the site that is part of the material
brochure furnished by the Bureau of Reclamation.
The area we propose to excavate is dryland.
The excavation of this material will be a screening operation
with excavation with Frontend loaders and trucks and will be
excavated to a maximum depth of 12', with all side slopes no
steeper than 3:1. The haul road will be left in a smooth
condition for future use by the Lake County forces.
We propose to reclaim 5 acres of the site and leave 5 acres
to be used at a later date by Lake County.
This material site is located approximately 4; miles southwest
of the city of Leadville, Colorado.
The surface vegetation is a very sparse grass and sage brush.
The topsoil from the area (4"-6") will be stockpiled and re-
placed on the material site. The material so placed will be
distributed evenly to maintain the slopes at no steeper than
3:1. The area will be graded to drain.
We have consulted with Mi'.
