As grading is really an integral part of the mining operation,
it is difficult to account for this cost. We consider that
it is part of mining the area.
3. The seeding costs appear to be low (as far as state
costs are concerned). Typically, the cost of seed
plus seeding is at least $100.00 per acre.
See ~~ 4 below.
4. A bond of $1,000.00 per acre is a typical minimum figure
for gravel pit reclamation in areas of major disturbance,
and I would suggest such an amount for this site. However,
if some areas could be considered only moderate disturbance,
not requiring grading, a lower amount would be appropriate.
More information in this regard would be helpful.
Your figure of $1,000.00 per acre will certainly be
sufficient to handle grading, topsoil redistribution, seeding,
mulch and fertilizer.
EXHIBIT N:
1. Does the air pollution permit for the asphalt plant given
in this exhibit cover the plant that is to be on site?
Yes.
EXHIBIT 0:
1. Is this leased land to be purchased by Elam Construction?
When and if it is purchased, a cony of the deed should
be provided for our files.
Elam Construction, Inc. does have an option to ,purchase the
property. When and if this option is exercised, a copy of
the deed will be provided.
2. What is the source of legal right-to-enter for the
remaining 15 acres (over and above the 90 acres leased
from the Vagneurs)?
The 90 acres was a figure qualified by "more or less", The
survey (see legal discription) undertaken by Alpine Survey's
concluded the actural size to be 104.72 acres.
EXHIBIT P:
1. Who owns the remaining 15 acres (as described above in
exhibit 02.)?
See Exhibit 0: ~p 2
~~~ CONSTNUC TiON, INC.
