. _.
3. Where is the maintenance and storage area mentioned
in paragraph 1 of this exhibit?
This area is to be behind the office.
4. Although the SCS says the 4-6" of topsoil should be
sufficient, if (for example) 8-9" of topsoil is
available for reclamation, it should be used.
Available topsoil will be distributed over entire site.
The 4-6" depth is considered minimum.
5. Birsfoot trefoil, a legume, should be added to the
reclamation seed mix at a drilled rate of 0.5 lb.
PLS/acre.
Consider the seed mix so amended.
6. Which forbs and shrubs from the SCS mix are to be
used in final reclamation? (A few should be considered).
If forbs and shrubs are to be required, we would prefer
any of the recommended varieties that can be planted with
the seed.
7. Mulching should be at a minimum rate of 3000 lbs/acre.
Mulching adds considerable cost to revegetation efforts
and was not included in SCS recommendations. If it is
to be a condition of the permit, however, we will comply
with your recommendation.
8. Any area used for topsoil mining must also be reclaimed.
We have applied for the entire 105 acres to be permitted
and fully expect to reclaim the entire area.
EXHIBIT F:
1. Final contours for reclaimed areas should be indicated
on this map (e.g., the pit, topsoil mining area, etc.).
See enclosed Maps.
2. Any berms to be left in final reclamation (there should be
justification given for leaving such berms) should be
shown on this map.
See enclosed Maps.
~~ CONSTRUCTION, INC.
