The quarrying operation will start along the <br /> northeast side of the pit nearest the highway and will pro- <br /> ceed in a south and westerly direction to the extent of the <br />, <br /> pit boundary. <br />' The quarrying operation will progress downward in lifts <br /> or. benches. The front-end-loader will establish a ramp by <br /> excavating down to a bench level in the pit and then expand <br /> the bench to the limits of the pit boundary.
