be upgraded to a coal haulage road to facilitate opal haulage from the .
Wolf Cree]c area.
Technical Revision No. 5 - Wadge Area Minira Charae
As minim progn~sed to the west in the Wadge area, the pits became
increasingly shorter which prompted this revision. Coal removal
operations whicYi include drilling, blasting, overburden removal, coal
drilling and blasting, and coal loading cannot be performed. efficiently
in a short pit. Generally, in this type of situation, the dragline
overtakes the other operations aryl has to shut down for a period of
time. To prevent this, POC requested ~mml~Gion to move the dragline
back to the box cut location and strip to the east simultaneously as the
current pits were advanced to the west. With the dragline alternating
between two Wadge stripping areas, sufficient pit length and stripping
area was gained to increase the operating area and maintain production,
thus el~m~*~ting the need to shut the dragline down.
Technical Revision No. 6 - Topsoil Salvaoe Adjustment
A small drainage at the lower end of the Wadge area contained several
areas that were excessively steep in terms of operational efficiency and
safety. PCC requested that, due to the equipment limitations and safety
issues, topsoil not be salvaged in this area. A topsoil balance
indicated that enough additional topsoil was available within the permit
area (topsoil stockpiles and areas to be disturbed) that reclamation of
this area could be aoowig~lished.
Technical Revision No. 7
It was later changed to Minor Revision No. 15, therefore No. 7 is
deleted.
Technical Revision No. 8 - Wolf Creek Revision (2nd Revision)
This Technical Revision was submitted as a follow-up to the Wolf Creek
Permit Revision which will be discussed later. Technical Revision No. 8
will also be discussed in that section.
Technical Revision No. 9 - ~arae in Hydrology Monitorira Requirements
Most of the information submitted with this revision was included in the
-6- Revised 07/23/87
