Groundwater levels in the winter and eady
spring may decrease by a few feet resulting in the groundwater gradient going from a northwestedy path to a
more northerly path.
- Modeling of the mining scenarios indicated that some water levels in domestic wells and a few irrigation wells
east of the site may decrease as mining proceeds. The analysis performed was conservative and these wells
might already have problems producing their decreed flow rates. Mitigation measures mentioned in Section 4.2
could help alleviate impacts to these wells.
Groundwater levels under WCR 27, immediately outside (east of the slope liner) were estimated to increase by
approximately 3 feet after the site has been reclaimed.
- Groundwater levels just west of the Site are estimated to decrease a maximum of 0.9 feet as a result of lining
the reclaimed water storage reservoirs.
Groundwater Model Report - SW TKO Water Storage Project -12 - February 2005
