EXHIBIT L <br />REFERENCES TOTAL ACRES/YEAR WITH 4 in 1977, 12 in 1978, <br />ETC. ADDITION OF THOSE ACREAGE YIELD A TOTAL OF 181 ACRES. <br />THIS MUST ALSO BE CLARIFIED AND/OR CORRECTED. SHOULDN'T <br />EXHIBIT L REFLECT RECLAMATION OF TAILINGS AREA #4 AS WELL? <br />IN ADDITION, 181 ACRES ARE REFLECTED IN THE LEGAL DESCRIP- <br />TION WHILE EXHIBIT L MAKES REFERENCE TO PONDS I, II, AND <br />IV. WHAT ABOUT RECLAMATION OF SETTLING PONDS AS SHOWN ON <br />MAP 3? THE RECLAMATION PLAN NARRATIVE SHOULD REFERENCE <br />RECLAMATION OF THESE AREAS AS WELL, <br />The total acreage to be reclaimed is 140 acres, as <br />stated on the application form as affected land; the legal <br />description now includes 15 additional acres (see Respor..se #1} <br />totalling 140 acres; Exhibit L totals the working acreares per <br />year of reclamation development at the bottom of the yee~rly <br />columns and titles the entry "Total Acres/Year", This entry <br />is also reflected in the following yearly column, due to that <br />same acreage being developed to a more advanced stage iri the <br />reclamation plan. Thus, each yearly column does not reflect <br />new acreage entries in the overall plan, but acreage under <br />development during that particular year. <br />The settling ponds within the Pond 4 circuit area to be <br />reclaimed during the final stages of the operation, as can be <br />seen on Map 3. These ponds are also included in the "Currently <br />Active Acreas" of the Reclamation Timetable Cpage 45}, +.o be <br />reclaimed during the final 10 years of the operation. <br />21, WITH REFERENCE TO FINAL DRAINAGE OVER THE TAILINGS PONDS <br />WILL DIVERSION DITCHES REMAIN UPON COMPLETION OF RECLAMATION? <br />The storm runoff diversion ditches will remain upon <br />completion of the reclamation plan with vegetation being intro- <br />duced to the shoulders and embankments during th.e present <br />stages of the operation. <br />22. DO YOU HAVE A CLOSED SYSTEM ON WATER USAGE? IS WATER <br />RECYCLED FROM THE SETTLING PONDS BACK THROUGH THE MILL <br />CIRCUIT? <br />There is no Water Recycling Program in operation within <br />the milling circuit. <br />23. HOW DO YOU INTEND TO RECLAIM PROPOSED AREAS IF APPLIED FOR <br />WATER RIGHTS ARE NOT GRANTED? <br />The water rights applied for to be used in the reclama- <br />tion operation have been given verbal confirmation by the <br />Water Board. <br />24. MAPS 2 AND 3 SHOW AREA #4 AS A MULTIPLE USE AREA. THIS <br />IS NOT REFERENCED IN THE MINING PLAN OR RECLAMATION PLAN <br />NARRATIVE. PLEASE EXPLAIN. <br />The term "multiple use" was used to indicate that the <br />particular area was currently in use as a city-county landfill <br />in cooperation with Standard Metals Corporation, and a future <br />use was to be incorporated with the development of Tailings <br />Pond 4. <br />A <br />
