AMENDMENT TO EXHIBIT "D"
Pit No. 2

1. There will not be any interaction with the drainage way and
the pit operation. There will not be any need for any type of
sediment control. The mining operation will itself reduce the
runnoff as it will be cutting off a hilltop and reducing any
grade to the drainage way.
2. The planned life of the mining operation is expected to be
fifty years.
3. The operator will remove the top twelve inches of topsoil.
The topsoil stockpile area will not be in the drainage area. There
will not be any need to farm or otherwise protect the stockpile
area from erosion.
4. The stockpile will be planted to wheat grass to protect it
against wind and water erosion in accordance with S.C.S. recommenda-
tions.
5. The plan for the operation is to do reclamation on the site on
a concurrent basis with the mining of the pit. This will require
a minimum of topsoil to be stockpiled and greatly reduce the
erosion potential, The same equipment will be utilized in the
reclamation program that will be utilized in the mining operations.
