M98168GE
•
We suggest that you consider incorporating construction techniques
into the development to reduce radon levels in the residential
structures and provide for retrofitting equipment for radon gas
removal if it becomes necessary.
Measures to reduce radon levels in structures include vented crawl
spaces with vapor barrier at the surface of the crawl space to
restrict radon gas flow into the structure or a vented gravel layer
with a vapor barrier beneath a concrete slab-on-grade floor to allow
venting of radon gae collected beneath the floor and to restrict radon
gas flow through the slab-on-grade floor into the structure. These
concepts are shown on Figure C1.
If you have any questions or would like more information about
radon, please contact us or the State Health Department at 303-692-
3030.
CS
Lambert ana ~.ssociates
CAMW~IIMO OIO ~{CMM~C~I {M6u~!{M lMO
Y11IfA1~L IflTINO
