Representative Sampling <br />Saa~les and measuranents falter as required herein shall be <br />representative of the volume arri nature of the monitored discharge. <br />All samples shall be taken at the monitoring points specified in this <br />permit and, unless otheivise specified, before the effluent loins ar <br />is diluted by any other wastestremn, body oP voter, ar substance. <br />Monitoring points shall not be changed without nwtificaticn to and <br />approval by the Division. <br />Analytical and Saawlirx~ Methods for Monitorira <br />Analytical aryl sampling methods utilized by the discharger shall <br />conform to cblorado Regulations for Effluent Limitations (10.1.5), <br />arri to regulations published pursuant to Section 304 (h) of the Clean <br />Water Act. <br />The analytical method selec.~ted for a patatoeter shall be the one that <br />can measure the lowest detected limit for that parameter unless the <br />permit limitation ar stream standard for those parameters not <br />limited, is within the testing rarxie of another approved method. <br />3. Records <br />The permittee shall establish and maintain records. Those records <br />shall include the following: <br />a) The date, type, exact locatiw~, aryl time of sampling or <br />b) The' ial(s) uRbo performed the sampling or mea_auzements; <br />c) The date(s) the analyses were performed; <br />d) The individual(s) who performed the .analyses; <br />e) The analytical techniques ar methods used; <br />f) The results of suds analyses; and <br />g) Any other observations which may result in an impact on the <br />quality ar quantity of the discharge as indicated in 40 CFR <br />122.44 (i)(1)(iii). <br />The permittee shall retain for a m,n;immi of three (3) years records <br />of all monitoring information, including all original strip chart <br />recordings for contirnnous monitoring instrumentation, all calibration <br />and maintenance records, copies of all reports required by this <br />permit arri records of all data used to co~lete the applicatirn for <br />this permit. This period of retention shall be extended during the <br />course of any unresolved litigation regarding the d;er~har~ of <br />pollutants by the permittee or when requested by the Division ar <br />Regional Achninistrator of EPA. <br />Code: i - 22 Date: 1-84, revised 12-88 <br />
