,~
This is due to perennial floe in Pyeatt Gulch since the Spring of 1984. Water-level
elevation in well P-1 is slightly less than the measuring point elevation of this
well.
Map Ms4C presents the alluvial aquifer piezometric contours for September,
1986. Contours are nat continuous because the presence of the alluvial areas exists
only in valley bottoms. The hydraulic gradient in Flume alluvium is approximately
0.09 ft/ft, which is very similar to the channel gradient and also the hydraulic
gradient of the underlying Third White Sandstone aquifer. The hydraulic gradient in
the Pyeatt alluvial aquifer is less and varies from 0.05 ft/ft in the mine area to
less than 0.02 ft/ft in the P-1 area.
•

z-5z3x p'EVISED FEB 13'87
