Documentation of a National Register check must be provided. <br />5. A narrative describing the details of collection and testing methods <br />should be provided. <br />6. Completed site forms for located site; within the mine plan area should <br />be provided. For example, on Map 16 there are historical and prehistoric sites <br />not adequately described. These forms should include: <br />a. site numbers <br />b. legal descriptions <br />c. site relationship to surrounding land fc,-~s and waters <br />d. surface extent of site <br />e. observed features <br />f. materials collected; variety and spatial distributions <br />g. site/type function <br />h. cultural/temporal affiliation and how determined <br />i, evaluation <br />j. physical condition <br />k. site mans <br />7. Provide a detailed and justified National Recister eligibility/non-eligibility <br />statement for each site located. <br />8. Provide a list of isolated finds located within the mine plan area and <br />the descriptive and locational information. Include line drawings or adequate <br />photographs if available. <br />9. For those sites (listed or eligible for the National Register) located <br />within the mine plan area that may be adversely impacted by direct or indirect <br />impacts, provide a detailed discussion of t~~e proposed measures to be used to <br />minimize or prevent impacts to each site. <br />10. The historical resume written written by Athern should be included in the <br />mine plan application to provide the historical information on the mine plan area. <br />11. Breternitz's ceramic analysis should be provided to the regulatory authority. <br />12. All paleontological resources should have their significance determined, <br />e.g. should data be recovered prior to the mining activities. <br />13. Ai though not provided in the mine plan, it is knoo-rn that the Laboratory <br />of Public~Archeology (LOPA) surveyed a portion of the mine plan area and <br />conducted a testing and mitigation program. This report should be provided to <br />OSM in its entirity. It is also known that LOPA (Arthur 1977) conducted a <br />survey on a coal tract on !•Jilson Creek in T.3 and 4.N. Did this survey cover <br />part of the mine plan area? If it did the report must be provided. <br />. 14. It appears that the report provided by the applicant is an edited version <br />of Lischka's report. 1f the report in the mine plan is not the oricir3l <br />many deficiencies may be corrected by submitting the original. Provid? a copy <br />of the original reports submitted by Lisch~:a and Carpenter and any others that <br />apply e.g., LOPP.. <br />
