Dear Rich:
This letter conveys concerns identified in the initial adequacy review of
the cultural resources section of the Colowyo Permit Application. Attach-
ment 1, following the list of concerns, is included as a professional formality.
Evidently, this is a standard format, widely accepted by professional archeo-
logists.
1. The date of the report and the sponsor should be specified.
2. Provide a clear description of the acreage covered by the survey of the
mine plan. Provide an accurate map that clearly shows site locations in
relationship to any surface disturbing activity and survey boundaries. Determine
direct and indirect impacts to. sites.
3. Provide a detailed explanation of.t•rhythe zntire mine plan area has not been
surveyed for cultural resources. It appears that only the 5/8 portion of
Sec..11,T.3N., R.931J. has been surveyed and not the entire mine plan area as
required. The following areas appear to have not been surveyed for cultural
resources:
