EXHIRLT 26 - Continued <br />• <br />Barishman Series - Continued <br />83ca 36-44"---Light olive brown (2.SY 5/3) clay, olive brown (2.SY <br />4/3) moist; weak coarse angular blocky structure; extreme- <br />ly hard, firm, very sticky, very plastic; few thin patchy <br />clay films on peds and in pores; few concretions and thin <br />seams of secondary calcium carbonate; strongly calcareous; <br />moderately alkaline; gradual wavy boundary. <br />Cca 44-60"---Light olive brown (2.SY 5/3) clay, olive brown (2.SY <br />4/3) moist; massive; extremely hard, very firm, very <br />sticky, very plastic; concretions and thin seams and <br />streaks of secondary calcium carbonate; strongly calcare- <br />ous; moderately alkaline. <br />• Depth to uniformly calcareous material ranges from 15 to 50 inches, <br />but the upper limit of uniformly calcareous material is no higher than 4 <br />inches below the upper boundary of the B2t horizon. The base of the B2t <br />horizon is at a depth of 12 to 50 inches. Reaction ranges from slightly <br />acid in the A horizon to very strongly alkaline in the C horizon. <br />Calcium carbonate equivalent of the Cca horizon ranges from about 4 to <br />14 percent. The Cca horizon is typically clay or heavy clay loam that <br />is more than 35 percent clay. <br />Boettcher Series (X65) <br />The Boettcher series is a member of the fine, montmorillonitic <br />family of Borollic Haplargids. <br /> <br />
