(see attached) <br />As shown on the attached Soil Conservation Service Soil <br />Interpretations,for this area [he soil is very shallow gravelly <br />to stony loams over bedrock. Steep ledges and outcrops of <br />"redbed" shale is common. Air, water and root penetration is <br />good but limited by depth to bed rock. Moisture holding capacity <br />is poor. <br />The shale overburden has a pH of &.6 and a conductivity of 1.2 <br />m-mhos/cm. The soil has a pH of 7.86 and conductivity of <br />2.40 m-mhos/cm. <br />
