93f~~d~A~ <br />~a,~,b« <br /> <br />We11 GZ-3 <br />Well GZ-3 was drilled to a depth of 169 feet. The <br />well casing cuas installed and cemented. The well was completed <br />in the Upper Williams Fork Formation. The test interval con- <br />sists of shale, sandstone, and a coal seam 8 to 10 feet thick. <br />Figure 3-6 shows the tesC interval. <br />3.4 We11 Surveys <br />Locations and elevations for the nine wells were es- <br />tablished by Utah International surveyors. Instrument eleva- <br />tions were established for the water level measuring point on <br />each wellhead. We11 location coordinates were established rela- <br />tive to the Colorado State Plane Coordinate System. Measuring <br />point elevations and location coordinates are shown in Table <br />• 3-1. Figure 3-2 displays plan viecus of each well site. <br />3.5 Water Level heasurements <br />Water levels were measured for each of the nine piezo- <br />meter wells. For flowing wells (GF-I, GF-2, GF-3, and GBB-I), <br />wellhead pressures were measured using a Marsh Model H5246 60 <br />lb/inZ pressure gauge. Freezing of above-ground pipes caused <br />a few unreliable pressure readings. Subsequently, heat was ap- <br />plied to wellhead pipes to prevent freezing during pressure <br />measurements. For wells which did not flow, depths to water <br />were measured with Soiltest electric water level tapes. After <br />initial measurements, water levels were measured by Utah Inter- <br />national-Trapper Mine Environmental Department personnel. <br />~ .• <br />I' <br />3-17 <br />
