EXHIBIT G - Water Information
The reclaimed operation is expected to have lIa very
minimal effect upon other water systems in dhe area.
The reclamation land use of open space and ~jildlife
habitat will not consume ground water, othe~j than
minor evaporative and transpirative losses. The
impounded water will seek a level equal to that of
the natural water table. The underground w er table
in the area surrounding the site will be rel tively
unaffected by the reclaimed area.
Water from dewatering operations will be pumped into
ponds developed on-site for that purpose. A11
excavations and piled materials will be sloped so
that runoff from disturbed areas will flow into the
ponds created and designed for that purpose.'
Wastes from machinery maintenance will be co~fined to
localized areas so that none of those wastes reach
water areas.
There will be no project water requirements nor
development mining areas, other than occasio~ial dust
control operations. The amount of water needed for
dust control is not expected to exceed 1,000gallons
per week during dry conditions. The water w~ll be
purchased from the City of Greeley system or~the
North Weld County Water District. The applicant
intends to spread excavated sand and gravel bn haul
roads, thereby greatly limiting the need formdust
control measures. ;
