d. See Mining Plan Map. Each designated ar a is
worked separately and in sequence indica~ed.
Area is shown on Exhibit D plan. All areas are
subject to major disturbance.
e. Time periods df each designated area is 'shown on
Exhibit D. Gravel thickness varies - see Mining
Plan, Exhibit D. Overburden is described in
Exhibit AA. Sandstone- siltstone bedroc~ stratum
underlies mineable sand/gravel material.
EXHIBIT E - Reclamation Plan
a. The operator proposes to reclaim the are through
development of a water impoundment with seeded
dikes, trees, and shrubs suitable for opn space
and wildlife habitat purposes. The recl mation
will include a water impoundment general y within
the natural ground water levels of the i ediate
area. Because the bottom of the excavat on is
well below normal ground water, the futu a use is
development of a pond that could be used as
habitat for numerous wildlife species. he pond
will have a shaped dike with at least three feet
of freeboard. All finished slopes from ive feet
above to ten feet below the expected wat r line
will have a slope no steeper than 3 hori ontal to
1 vertical; and will be compacted using standard
heavy duty earthmoving equipment.
b. This area can be reclaimed and used in mach the
same way as a number of parks in the Citxx of
Greeley, such as Glenmere and Bittersweed parks.
The reclaimed area used as open space anc~
wildlife habitat will fit well into the
agricultural zoning of the local land us~ plan
according to local zoning regulations.
c. The affected lands will be reclaimed forlIopen
space and wildlife habitat purposes withiln five
years after reclamation has commenced.
c-1. Grading - All grading will be accomplished as
soon as feasible, approximately one yearlIafter
the mining process is completed, using he~1avy
earthmoving equipment. All areas outsid the
site will be protected from erosion or siltation
as a result of the operations. No refuse and
acid forming or toxic materials that migh~t create
water pollution are anticipated to resultlfrom
