~~~
State of Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation
Sept. 8, 1978
This diversion would be entirely on currently designated
affected land and in accord with regulations and engineering
practices as applicable at the time the diversion would be de-
signed.
Attached is Exhibit Cc, Mining Plan for the old concrete
quarry area showing 10 sequential cuts. Exhibit Fc shows
final reclaimed contours. Both maps, Exhibit Cc and Fc are
overlays on Map pcc-1395.
It was noted that Ideal did not previously break down the
$450 per acre estimated reclamation costs as backfilling of
an adjacent worked-out cut was considered as a mining cost.
Following is a breakdown of this cost estimate and rough
grading would normally be considered a mining cost.
Rough Grading $250 per acre
Finish Grading $ 75 per acre
Seeding and Fertilization $125 per acre
Discussed in a telephone conversation with Mr. Funston on Sep-
tember 7, 1978 was the hearing of Application 77-344 at the
September 27-28 Hoard Meeting, and availability of revised in-
formation to the general public.
The legal publication stated that permit application information
would be available at Ideal's office in Florence, Colorado, Fre-
mont County Planning and Colorado Mined Land Reclamation, 1313
Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203• Hy carbon copy of this
letter it is requested that Portland plant manager, Mr. W. T.Spring-
man, advise Fremont County Planning Director, Mr. Don L. Welch, to
refer any inquiries for information on the Portland quarry applica-
tion to the Portland plant office.
Mr. Funston did not expect any problems with scheduling the
Portland permit application for Board consideration, soon after
lunch on September 27, 1978. This meeting will be held at the
Holiday Inn, Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
T.1e~1
~~~ r~~~ .
r. iry
4
~« Lr
~~ ~"IfleM
l7.~,_,~
F..
