Sail formation will <br />reflect the weathering of the gravel materials and the <br />neighborincr granite gniess outcrop including quartz <br />monzonite, potassium feldspar, quartz, biotite, and <br />muscovite. Weathering products as soil materials would be <br />pure silica and kaolin clay. A thiri(le:~s than 6") gravelly <br />sail with less than 50 organic matter content is found over <br />the granite bedrock areas lying above the mining areas. <br />Soils and well drained and not subject to sheet erosion <br />unless under unusual storm event. Sediments are basic silica <br />and feldspathoid mineralogy of a generally course to medium <br />grain size. <br />No toxic materials are found in or surrounding the mining <br />areas. No sulfides, oxides, or carbonate materials are found <br />in or near the gravel deposit. <br />-3- <br />
