The building is a 28 by 60 foot metal building.
It houses two shop bays and a warehouse. Refer to the Affected
Land Map, 2.04.3(2)(a)-2, for the location of the shop warehouse,
and the Reclamation Plan, Section 2.05.4, on the removal.
(x) Yard Area.
The area around the belt and intake portals will be the busy area
of Grand Mesa Coal Company Mine. This area will handle a temporary
• coal atockpile, a temporary refuse stockpile, a shop a:,d warehouse
material stockpile, and general access to the mine. This is the
most extensively disturbed area on the mine site and will remain
that for most of the life of the mine. This area has been cut
and filled in the past to accommodate access to the portals. Part
of the south end of the yard was filled with sandstone and shale
from the floor of the belt portal. This refuse disposal was part
of Grand Mesa Coal Company's initial refuse disposal plan with
MSHA. This refuse disposal was covered with dirt from the filled
area north of the coal stockpile. Dirt has been excavated behind
the shop to the toe of the road fill slope. This area allows
traffic behind the shop and an area for materials stockpiles.
Maintenance of the yard area includes cleanup when necessary.
Plans for removal include backfilling and recontouring the area.
Refer to the Reclamation Plan, Section 2.05.4, for specific details
and the Affected Land Map, 2.04.2(2)(a)-2, for the location of the
yard area.
• (xi) Parking Lot.
Grand Mesa Coal Company's parking lot is just west of the bathhouse.
it is 80 by 90 foot and gravel covered. 4aintenance is performed
a~
