. 2.05.3(3)(b)(ii) <br />as Grand Mesa Coal Company's office. Improvements to the area <br />include building a new road to the office and to gravel the <br />40 by 60 foot parking lot. Refer to the Affected Land Map, <br />2.04.3(2)(a)-2, for the location of the mine office. Plans <br />for the removal of this office will be to remove the structure from <br />the surface, cleaning up, and revegetatinq the area. Refer to the <br />Reclamation Plan, Section 2.05.4, for more specific details. <br />(iii) Bathhouse. <br />The bathhouse for the Red Canyon #1 Mine employees consists of <br />a specially constructed 12 by 60 foot trailer, which was installed <br />in the fall of 1979. The trailer is located in the older residence <br />area. Refer to the Affected Land Map, 2.04.3(2)(a)-2, for the <br />location of the bathhouse. The 1250 gallon septic tank and 1000 <br />• square foot leach field were installed and approved by the Delta <br />County Sanitation Department. An 1~ inch water line was installed <br />in May of 1979 to replace an existing broken 3/4 inch water line. <br />This area had been previously disturbed with no regard for resoilinq. <br />Therefore, Grand Mesa Coal Company was unable to segregate topsoil. <br />Plans for the proposed $2 Mine include adding a second bathhouse <br />next to the existing bathhouse. This bathhouse will be similar <br />to the first. Plana for removal of both bathhouses are the same <br />as for the mine office. Refer to the Reclamation Plan, Section 2.05.4, <br />for more specific details. <br />(iv) Old Shop <br />The scalehouse was built around 1956 and the shop was attached <br />around 1964. These buildings are being used as a warehouse. <br />When no longer needed as the mine shop. this building will be <br />used for a laborers shop. Refer to the Affected Land Map, 2.04.3(2)(a)-2 <br />• for the location of the old shop. Plans for removal of this <br />structure include knocking the building down, cleaning the area <br />and covering the foundation with dirt. Refer to the Reclamation <br />Plan, Section 2.05.4, for specific details. <br />89 <br />
