• 2.05.3(4)(b)
(b) The sediment level in the ponds will be monitored on a
quarterly basis and noted on the quarterly pond inspection reports
required under Rule 4.05.6(10). The sediment level will be
measured by determining the depth to actual sediment level measured
down from the invert of the dewatering device, (S). This
measurement will be compared to the design sediment depth of the
pond measured from the bottom of the pond to the invert of the
dewatering device, (D). The calculation of (D-S)*(100)/(D) gives
the percent of sediment accumulation. Sediment removal will occur
when the sediment level in the pond reaches 508.
The requirements of Rule 4.05.6(8)(a)-(d) are simply good
construction practices that will be follow by the applicant during
pond construction. The upstream and downstream side slopes of the
embankments of ponds A, B, D and E are Sh:ly and 2h:ly
respectively. The upstream and downstream side slopes of the
embankment of pond F is 5h:ly and 4h:ly respectively. The design
top width of all of the embankments is 10 feet.
•

2.05-8i July 1992
