• 2.05.3(4) Ponds, Impoundments and Diversions
(a)(i) The Sedimentation Control Map, Drawing Nos. 117
& 127, show the location of the sedimentation ponds, the collection
ditches and drainage areas. A total of four ponds and five
collection ditches will be constructed within the permit area for
Mining Areas 1 and 2. Ponds A & B and three collection ditches
provide sedimentation control for Mining Area 1. Ponds D and E and
two collection ditches provide sedimentation control for Mining
Area 2. Pond C is no longer required, see Exhibit 9 page 9-6.
Mining Area 3 requires one sediment pond, pond F, and four
collection ditches.
Detailed design information for the sedimen-
tation ponds, spillways, inlet channels, collection ditches and
dewatering devices is included in Exhibit 9. Drawing Nos. 117A -
117E and 128 show detailed plan and section views of each pond,
spillway, inlet channel and collection ditch.
All of the sedimentation ponds are considered
temporary. The ponds will be left in place until the disturbed
area is reclaimed and it is demonstrated that the requirements of
4.05.2(2) are met.
(A) The sedimentation control plan was
prepared under the direction of James E. Stover, P.E., No. 19230.
• (B) The location of the sedimentation control
features is shown on Drawing No. 117 and 127. Cross sections of
the sedimentation control features are shown on Drawing Nos. 117A -
117E and 128.
(C) The preliminary hydrologic and geologic
information required to assess the hydrologic impact of the
structures is contained in Exhibit 9.
(D) Not applicable.
included.
(E) All detailed
design information is
•
2.05-8 July 1992
