Activity Permit - New <br />Permit No. CO-0036021 <br />County: Routt <br />AUTHORIZATION TO DISCHARGE UNDER THE <br />• <br />NATIONAL POLLUTANT DISCHARGE ELIMINATION SYSTEM <br />In compliance with Che provisions of the Federal Water Pollution Control <br />Act, as amended (33 U.S.C. 1251 et. seq.; the "Act"), and the Colorado Water <br />Quality Control Act (25-8-101 et. seq., CRS, 1973 as amended) <br />Colorado Yampa Coal Company <br />is authorized to discharge from their Middle Creek Mine, <br />located southwest of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, in the Southeast 1/4 of Section l: <br />and the Northeast 1/4 of Section 13, Township 5 North, Range 86 West, via specifical <br />approved discharge points, <br />to Middle Creek, <br />in accordance with effluent limitations, monitoring requirements and other <br />conditions set forth in Part I, II, and III hereof. <br />This permit shall become effective thirty (30) days after the date of <br />. receipt of [his permit by the Applicant. Should the Applicant choose to <br />contest any of the effluent limitations, monitoring requirements or other <br />conditions contained herein, he must comply with Section 24-4-104 CRS 1973 <br />and the Regulations for the State Discharge Permit System.
