Upon completion of mining operations, the <br /> area shall be recontoured and smoothed to slopes no steeper than 3:1 and <br /> preferably flatter. The area will then be covered with topsoil to a minimum <br /> depth of 6-inches and reseeded. <br /> 8. Crusher and/or asphalt plants shall be located to maximize distance to and/or <br /> minimize visibility to County Road 111 to the maximum extent practical. <br /> 9. Storage areas for fuels and chemicals shall be bermed and located away <br /> from drainage areas. <br /> 10.Topsoil stockpiles required for reclamation (six inches minimum of cover over <br /> all disturbed areas) shall be stabilized with vegetation and shall not be <br /> removed from the site. <br /> 11.The mining and reclamation plans submitted with the application shall be <br /> strictly followed. <br /> 12.To the maximum extent practical, mining operations shall be limited to <br /> warmer months when wildlife concentrations are minimal. <br /> 13.This Special Use Permit shall expire two years from date of issuance if <br /> substantial construction of this gravel pit has not occurred. <br /> This letter constitutes the issuance of Special Use Permit #98-42 subject <br /> to the above 13 conditions. <br /> If you have any questions, please feel free to contact this office. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> Sandra J.
