' WILCLIFE STATEMENT (co~ued) •
5. Evaluate reclamation plan and provide additional recommendations for reclamation:
The reclamation plan appears adequate. There should not be much surface erosion
from the pit site with the planned drainage system. My principle reclamation
concern is with weed encroachment, particularly after the pit is closed and
is being revegetated. The county has been diligent in controlling weeds at
least during the period of active mining operations. Such control should
continue through the revegetation stage to ensure return to perennial, non-
weedy vegetation cover.
6. Other comments:
The mining/reclamation plan appears adequate for the species involved and the
nature of the mining operation.
Prepared by: Bradford B.
